Lake Crystal Salt is naturally harvested from a 5 million year old salt lake situated in the remote regions of Western Australia, an ecologically pristine environment. It is simply skimmed from the surface of the lake, filtered and kiln dried. It's distinctive, mild and gentle flavour of the salt is retained. Unlike processed sea salts which often have a harsh and bitter aftertaste, it has a natural depth of flavour. It minimized the risk of excess iron like rock salt provided.
